Stacey Zhang Bio
Stacey’s innovative designs and forward-thinking business practices have captured the attention of stars, the press and, most importantly, her loyal and ever-growing clientele, and made her one of Canada’s hot young designers to watch.
After spending her early years in Jamaica, Stacey attended fashion school in Montreal. Upon graduating she was appointed head designer of an internationally renowned junior collection where her creative flare helped to raise the collection to new heights. Several years later she repeated this feat as creative director for a prestigious contemporary collection. In 2007 she decided to become the master of her own creations and launched the Stacey Zhang collection. In 2008 the Stacey Zhang flagship boutique opened on Montreal’s bustling St-Catherine Street West, followed by an online boutique in 2009. At the same time Stacey’s collection was made available at a few select boutiques across Canada.
The Stacey Zhang collection features limited edition chic clothing for women; fusing both modern and classic designs mixed with luxurious handpicked fabrics. Stacey decided early on that she wanted to incorporate sustainable fabrics such as linen, silk, organic cotton and bamboo into her collections. She also places a great emphasis on ethical production practices, producing part of each collection domestically to integrate with and support the local economy.

Après avoir obtenu son diplôme avec distinction, Stacey a décroché un poste de designer en chef d’une ligne pour enfants reconnue internationalement. Le succès de son travail lui permettra par la suite de relever un nouveau défi comme designer en chef d’une collection contemporaine prestigieuse. Alors que les accolades s’accumulent et que sa réputation grandit parmi ses pairs, Stacey Zhang décidera de voler de ses propres ailes et de lancer une collection éponyme. En 2007, elle ouvre une première boutique et présente finalement au public ses designs à son image.
La collection Stacey Zhang combine design classique et contemporain avec une attention particulière aux matériaux: lin, cotton organique, soie, bambou, etc…le luxe tout en confort avec une touche d’écolo-chic! La qualité n’est pas sa seule préoccupation: elle est aussi une militante de la production locale et une grande partie de sa collection se produit donc ici. Il n’est donc pas étonnant de comprendre pourquoi les stars, la presse et les clientes se sont amourachées de Stacey Zhang.
